Due to a fall hazard, about 213,000 of the children’s activity centers manufactured by Evenflo have been recalled. There have already been 9 reports of injuries associated with this product due to a cap on one end of the product becoming loose and falling off, thus creating an unstable table, and a hazard to the children at play. There has even been a report of a child suffering a broken collarbone due to this dislodged end cap.
The activity centers that have been recalled were made between October 2006 and December 2008, they were sold nationwide by Juvenile product and mass merchandise stores including Toys ‘R Us and Burlington Baby Depot for about $120, and the model number is 6231711. Consumers should immediately restrict their children from using the activity center, and should contact Evenflo to receive a free replacement end cap.
