In March 2008, a recall of infant rattles produce by Infantino LLC has been recalled due to choking hazards. There have been 10 complaints since the recall of pieced of the rattle falling off and putting the child at risk of choking.
The rattles were sold at various stores including Wal-Mart, Babies “R” Us and other stores nationwide between May 2007 and September 2008. The rattles cost around 4$ a piece and about 131,000 rattles have been recalled so far. There have been no reports of injuries yet, but parents who have purchased on of these rattles are urged to immediately take them away from their children and contact Infantino toll-free at 800-840-4916 or visit their website at www.infantino.com for a replacement.
