Tequin is an antibiotic that became FDA approved in 1999 to help treat many different bacterial infections such as:

  • Pneumonia
  • Bronchitis
  • Sinus infections
  • Respiratory tract infections
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea

The risks associated with Tequin include increased risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) as well as the risk of high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). These side effects can cause hospitalization or can even become fatal due to the abnormal glucose levels.

The New England Journal of medicine posted an article on March 1, 2006 explaining studies associated with Tequin. In summary, all of the patients studied that were given Tequin showed harmful sugar level changes within 30 days use.

If you are prescribed Tequin be aware of the signs and symptoms associated with harmful blood level changes:

  • Confusion
  • Visual disturbances
  • Heart palpitations
  • Tremors
  • Frequent Urination
  • Increased thirst
  • Dry Mouth

If you have been affect by Tequin then contact the law office of Reich and Binstock for an evaluation.
