Unfortunately On Sunday March 1, 2009, a young Texas A&M student was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a Northgate parking garage. Lindsay Walters was paying for her parking ticket at 2:20 a.m. when a black truck came speeding through the garage and struck her as well as another male and female (they just suffered minor injuries).
The woman driving was Alma Martinez, 26, who said that as she was leaving her brakes stopped working and she was unable to stop her car. Martinez’s truck jumped the curb in the garage and injured the 3 victims while she exited and then struck another vehicle when she was out of the garage. Her story is still under investigation.
